Salvation Amid Protests and Persecution in Iran
Salvation Amid Protests and Persecution in Iran
In a country where following Christ is illegal, gatherings are forbidden, believers are scattered and often isolated, and even possessing Scripture can draw punishment, digital fellowship is often the only safe way for believers to worship, learn, and grow. For decades, Transform Iran’s Persian Community Church (PCC) has been an essential lifeline for Christians, connecting thousands each month through online church services, one-to-one mentoring, and prayer support.
During the recent protests, these risks have intensified. Crackdowns, violence, surveillance and fear have increased, shootings and arrests have become everyday occurrences, and people have been forced into greater isolation. Christians have been forced to delete contacts from their phones, in case they are arrested and their devices searched. Amidst this heightened danger, PCC has become all the more critical, shining as a beacon of hope in the deepest darkness.
Praise God for His faithfulness, His loving kindness, and His power to reach the unreachable! Amidst the protests and harrowing persecution, Christ is still drawing seekers and believers to Himself.
PCC Reaches Seekers Hungry for Truth
A Young Woman Finds Truth and Peace Through Digital Fellowship
A young Iranian woman reached out to PCC in search of peace and truth. She was hungry to learn, had a heart full of questions and shared that her inner world had become disillusioned without clear answers. She said both she and her husband were seeking Biblical teaching and spiritual guidance. PCC connected her to lessons and one-to-one mentoring, guiding her through the way of salvation and teaching about the cross and being born again. She eagerly embraced fellowship and continues to grow in faith.
For a long time I had heard that Christ gives peace, but now I have tasted it, and I feel at peace.
A Young Man in Isfahan Discovers Life in Christ
A young man in Isfahan had been exploring Christianity for a year and followed PCC online. He had come to understand that Jesus Christ is the true God and Savior, and through PCC, received structured teaching, discipleship, and ongoing fellowship. He has found new life in Christ!
I feel like I have been born again. I am calm and at peace, and I know I have become sinless, and that Someone is watching over and protecting me.
An Older Man’s Journey From Fear and Isolation to Hope
An older man from Kashan had struggled with depression and hopelessness for years. He reached out to PCC asking for guidance about faith in Jesus Christ and to be connected to Persian-speaking gatherings. After connecting with PCC, he asked for guidance about faith in Jesus Christ and received consistent support to help him grow in faith despite isolation and fear. He shared that he has been interested in Christianity for about two years, having discovered Transform Iran’s evangelistic social media channels, and was deeply hungry and eager to know the truth. Through conversations with our PCC team, he gave his life to Christ, and continues to grow in faith and fellowship with other believers.
I feel so light! Before, I was confused and my nerves were a mess, but now I have peace and I’m happy. It’s as if every part of me is calling out to Christ.

PCC Strengthens Persecuted Believers
An Afghan Believer’s Courage Amid Brutality
An Afghan man living in Iran, first came to faith in Christ in 2018, after witnessing the brutality of violence in Afghanistan, including the torture and killing of his brother-in-law. The brutality led him to question his beliefs: “If Islam is meant to be a religion of love, then why is there so much violence?” While working on a building site in Iran, a Christian co-worker introduced him to the love of Christ. Two years ago, he was connected to PCC teaching fellowship and mentoring and has continued to grow in his faith. Sharing his faith with others in Iran has a resulted in him being arrested and detained, and his home being repeatedly raided. In the middle of winter, his family was forced to the Iran-Afghanistan border and left in harsh conditions. Relatives threatened to report him to the Taliban if he did not renounce his faith. He lost his home, his inheritance, and his livelihood. PCC has remained a vital lifeline. Through one-to-one counselling, prayer, and pastoral care, PCC has helped sustain his faith under relentless pressure.
Even in our darkest moments, God has never abandoned me or my family.
A Woman Reclaims Faith After Traumatic Persecution
A woman and her husband gave their lives to Christ 15 years ago and became leaders in a growing house fellowship in Iran. Their home was filled with worship, evangelism, and new believers. In 2014, everything changed. Plainclothes officers raided their homes, arrested them, and subjected them to interrogation, solitary confinement, and abuse. Their belongings were seized, their ministry dismantled, and fear began to dominate her life. Ongoing surveillance, court cases, heavy fines, and social rejection left her isolated and traumatized. During the 2021 “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests, her husband was arrested again, reopening deep wounds. Though she continued to read Scripture, she felt deeply alone — until she reconnected with PCC. Through faithful leaders, biblical teaching, one-to-one care, and prayerful community, PCC became a vital lifeline and God-given conduit for her deep healing journey. Slowly, the grip of fear loosened, and isolation gave way to renewed faith.
Today, she worships again with joy and confidence. What persecution tried to silence, God has restored — through steadfast discipleship, spiritual community, and the faithful support of PCC.
Three Sisters Build a House Church Amid Ongoing Threats
Three sisters from a devout Muslim family in Western Iran came to faith through Transform Iran’s in-person church network. The eldest had first encountered the gospel through personal study and then through a 222 Church pastor who had visited her home to pray with her. During that visit, she had a profound encounter with Christ and saw her life transformed. At first, her sisters were skeptical. But over time, one sister agreed to be prayed for by the same 222 Church pastor and experienced healing and spiritual freedom. This opened the door for the youngest sister, who was battling depression. At a home church gathering in Tehran led by 222 Church leaders, she too was prayed for and experienced deep healing and deliverance. Her life was completely changed. Soon, their husbands also came to faith. Together, with friends and relatives, they formed a growing house church. Conferences abroad strengthened their discipleship and evangelistic passion. What began through personal pastoral visits grew into a vibrant fellowship.
But as the group expanded, they were reported to the authorities. Security forces raided their homes, confiscated Bibles and devices, arrested family members, and imposed court cases, travel bans, and ongoing surveillance. Pregnant and caring for newborns, they endured threats, workplace intimidation, and social rejection. Over time, they lost their home and much of their outward security. Fear and pressure mounted.
When their house church scattered and isolation deepened, PCC became their steady source of connection and spiritual covering. Through online fellowship, pastoral oversight, and consistent biblical teaching, PCC helped sustain their faith when meeting in person became too dangerous. From in-person discipleship through the 222 Church network to ongoing strengthening through PCC, Transform Iran has walked with them at every stage of their journey.
Today, despite continued monitoring and repeated interrogations, they remain steadfast. They have lost safety and stability — but not their faith.
God’s Faithfulness Shines in the Darkness
Even in the face of violent crackdowns, censorship, and isolation, PCC continues to be a lifeline for the people of Iran. Through online worship and study, one-to-one mentoring, prayer rooms, and digital fellowship, seekers encounter Christ for the first time, believers are strengthened in courage, and families are spiritually nurtured despite extreme danger.
These testimonies remind us of God’s promise: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5). Praise God that even in Iran’s darkest circumstances, hearts are finding peace, salvation is spreading, and the courage to follow Christ grows stronger every day.
